A puffed up male sage grouse, decorated with citrine representing it's distinct yellow air sacks. The curb chain is decorated with 8 citrine cabochons, all individually stamped and set. The chain measures 16" long and cannot be adjusted in length. The grouse itself measures 1.5" wide.

The Greater Sage Grouse (also known as "sagehen") is an at risk grouse native to the western United States. This bird is distinct in its appearance with two large yellow air sacks the males puff up during mating rituals. This bird is vital to the ecosystem where they live because the presence of them indicates a healthy and intact sage brush habitat.
