The pileated woodpecker is one of my favorite birds that you see this time of the year. Their call is distinct and their pecking noises can be heard all over. These birds can be feisty and territorial, sporting their dashing red crest.
This pendant is handcrafted out of sterling silver. The bird hangs on to a cast dogwood winter node and below it hangs a nice chunk of Montana agate. All of this hangs on an 18" long chain.
The pendant itself measures just over 3" in length.
